World Cup 2006 - Berlin and Italy v USA

Now we were off to Berlin to see Sweden v Paraguay but we had a nice 4 hour drive and three days to see the sights of one of my favorite cities.
We are at the Art Hotel
Unpacked the suitcase and we took the U to Berlin's Fan Fest.  It was by The Brandenburg Gate and their "Magic Mile" had  4 huge TV screens and more beer and sausages.
Ran into four Scottish geezers, thinking if they drank more beer they would see Scotland playing in the World Cup. In any case they support two teams, Scotland and any team that plays England.
We did a little site seeing while Tom was capturing a couple bottles of champagne in honor of Togo and we needed the City Pissoir.
Spotted a nice piece of The Wall and we had to have a beer or two at our favorite bar, Newton.
A Berlin Bear told us where the beer was
Berlin had placed a bear for every country in the world and they were all very impressive.
It was game day, but first we watched England beat Trinidad 2-0 in a local bar, not far away from the stadium where England's next opponents, Sweden were playing Paraguay.                                                                     Celebrating an England goal !
After the match the Swedes were very happy but I think they were now worrying about the upcoming match with England next Tuesday.
Next morning we took a long drive to Kaiserslautern, actually it was to a sleepy village 45 minutes from "K City" called Landau. It was quite a relief to get away from the big city life and have a relaxing evening with a healthier dinner.
Next morning we decided to take a look around the town before heading in to Kaiserslautern to watch the biggest game so far for my two friends, Italy v USA
