Our first trip to the Caribbean was to St. Thomas and then Aruba. Three nights at the wonderful Morning Star Resort by Marriott.  Here we just lazed on the beach and just relaxed.  Easy to do when you have the beach all to yourself.

Only problem on this island was tan lines, so we rented a boat for a day so we could be a little adventurous and get rid of those lines

One night we dressed up and found a very nice restaurant up in the hills but the scary thing about this island is the driving.  Very weird system.

We did find The Hard Rock Cafe.

Then it was Off to Aruba ...

On Aruba we stayed right on the end of hotel row at The Aruba Palm Beach Marriott. We were starting to see great service from this hotel chain with an upgrade to a corner suite. Also to Cheri's pleasure she was able to go topless and remove those tan lines.

The hotel had a swim up bar and Cheri soon got to know the staff, we also liked the beach jeep that brought cold beers and sprayed us with cool water.  Now that was service!

The sea on this side of the island was so calm, unlike the other side.  One day we decided to take a look by hiring a jeep and go 4 wheel driving.  The tourist spot is The Natural Bridge where many stop, take their pictures and turn back but we decided to circle the whole island and in doing so found a couple of quiet areas.

We'd had a taste of the Caribbean and now we wanted more!
