More Fun at
Fantasy Fest 2007
The highlight of this week was the 7th Annual Live Art Airbrush Contest,
which is held Friday night. A lot of work and planning went in to Cheri's
design, not only by her but by Pashur and his assistant. It was well
worth it as she came away with 1st PLACE and a nice check for Pashur.
Celebrating Cheri's 1st place with a kiss and then with friends, Lance and Libby & Anthony and
MH, plus a few nice strangers.
One thing about Fantasy Fest are the parties and fun activities are not
restricted to night time, so you can start again and have some daylight fun starting around
noon depending on how late you were out the previous night. More so
beginning on Thursday all the way thru Saturday.
A fun daytime activity in the week is our wine tasting event when we all bring our
favorite wines to taste and each year more friends join in, which of course
means more wine. Cheri decided to be the waitress this time and that news was
celebrated by all the males
Lance is our wonderful host but can you recognize him below?
Anthony rented a scooter for the week but only
MH was brave enough
to sit on the back.
After all the wine, beer or rum and cokes you never want to get behind the
wheel of a car, so Cheri has taken up hitch hiking to get somewhere LOL. We always wonder what would happen if anybody stopped and offered her
a ride. OK it would only be two blocks to Duval Street.
Bikes
We knew if a car would not give her a ride we always could rely on "The Guys
With Bikes" or other kinds of transportation. The problem this year was the
rain, it really was not ideal for bike riding except for a couple of nights,
so everybody had to make the most of it quickly.

Helping Hand
No matter what predicament you are in, there is always somebody at Fantasy
Fest who can and will help you out
For Example: Nipple cover remover or a cool down
or maybe just some relief
or help keep something red hot
no matter if it's removing the boots or a tight G
Something that Key West is not short of, is bars. The Green Parrott, Caroline's, Fogarty's, Sloppy Joe's, Hard Rock, Kelly's
and of course Captain
Tony's make it very easy to enjoy a few different libations. Best price
for a drink - Caroline's
Our "local" is Captain Tony's, we start there, knowing we
can meet friends and as it's just off the main street it can give us a breather
now and again. Also Capt. Tony still has a thing for the
ladies whereas Jeff the owner is a little more subtle.
This year we decided to eat much better than previous visits, so instead of
hot dogs on the street we were able to spend some time it quite a few
quality restaurants. An early dinner still allows you time to eat properly
and enjoy the nightly parties and street action.
Seven Fish is a quiet
little restaurant away from the craziness, a little stark (and naked)
ambiance but the food was excellent. April & Cheri really dressed up
for this early evening dinner.
Dining
The whole group was out for dinner at The Hot Tin Roof, a very
nice restaurant in The Ocean Key Resort. Wonderful food,
even better service and the ladies were allowed in painted which pleased the
staff and other customers.
At the end of a couple of nights we did have to
revert to a local pizza cafe and the manager did not expect this as a tip
until the second night.
The Grand Cafe is in a great location, right on Duval Street which
is perfect for people watching while having "off the menu pizzas" and a nice
bottle of wine before heading out for the night.
You can also find some "chicken" on the street if you get a little hungry
and you fancy a nibble or a snack to keep you going.

Friends
The best part of FF is the friends you meet, new & old plus the laughs you
have with them during the week sharing the memories for ever.
So that was Gnomes, Toads & White Rabbits
but we are sure it was not a tea party. Just a week in Key West with people
having fun and living a fantasy or two.
See you all next year at "Pirates, Pundits and Political
Party Animals" Oct 17th - 25th 2008.
